PDG HISTORY TIMELINE
For over 50 years, Poggemeyer Design Group, A Kleinfelder Company (Kleinfelder–PDG), has provided innovative engineering, architecture and planning solutions for the needs of our governmental, commercial, industrial, and private sector clients.
Building and maintaining client relationships is our core focus, ensuring seamless comprehensive services that span the entire life cycle of the project. We are a multi-disciplined design firm, with an experienced team of water and wastewater, civil, structural, and transportation engineers, architects and planners working together to offer all of these services under one roof.
1968 On March 16, 1968, Lester H. Poggemeyer, P.E. opened a two-man office in Bowling Green, Ohio, and began providing engineering services to public and private clients.
1975-1985 In 1975, we established our first branch office in Lexington, Ohio. Lexington continues to this day to be important for PDG. We are thankful for our on-going relationship with the Village of Lexington and have helped with nearly 200 projects and look forward to continuing our excellent working relationship.
1982 was another exciting year at PDG. We opened offices in the City of Defiance, Ohio; and Las Vegas, Nevada. These offices continue to thrive today.
The Las Vegas office works closely with public and private clients as that region continues to grow. They assist with large public high profile projects – most notable is the beautification of the famous Las Vegas Strip.
The Columbus area office was opened in 1985 to provide better services to our clients in mid and southern Ohio. Today, the office is located in Hilliard, a suburb of Columbus, from where PDG provides services to communities, such as New Lexington, Adams County Regional Water District, and communities in between.
1986-1995 Changed company name to Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc.; change in ownership, and construction of new corporate headquarters in Bowling Green and new Western Regional Office in Las Vegas
1997-2004 Acquired firms in Defiance, Ohio; and Seattle, Washington; opened branch office in Monroe, Michigan
2005 Became an employee-owned company (IESOP); added new partners
2007 Created CMWorks, a Construction Management division in Western Region; constructed new office in Las Vegas
